Despite Emilio’s whining the City Council voted to reject the proposal he has been touting since last year, to trash the Wellfield Nature Trail and build 3 ball fields. Instead Council said a more southern part of Wellfield would be more suited for constructing 2 ball fields. This vote is not a permit to build, just an indication of a preferred venue. Joining Emilio in opposition were Jeanette Gates and John Holic.
