According to the newspapers three city managers failed to implement the voter-mandated change. Three wrongs don't make a right. Apparently the contract states the city had the right to terminate Snyder's contract if legislature acts to amend any provisions of the charter, which is exactly what happened. The Finance Director position went from a charter officer position to a position under the city manager; a fundamental change desired by the voting public. All additional compensation collected over the years due to that change should be recouped, then again, it's like the fox watching the chickens.
